Core Principles

1. Accuracy

Every factual claim is traceable to a peer-reviewed, DOI-verified source. We distinguish between study types — in vitro cell studies, animal models, and human clinical trials — and clearly label each. We do not extrapolate beyond what published evidence supports.

2. Objectivity

Aureobasidium.org has no commercial relationship with any supplement manufacturer or product vendor. We do not accept sponsored content, affiliate partnerships, or paid placements. Our editorial decisions are based solely on scientific merit and reader utility.

3. Transparency

We are transparent about the role of AI tools in our content creation process, our editorial team, our update process, and any corrections made to published content. When content is updated, we note what changed and when.

Editorial Workflow

Step 1 — Source Identification

All content begins with peer-reviewed literature. Sources are identified through PubMed, Google Scholar, and our internal archive of 295+ indexed papers. No content is based on manufacturer claims, press releases, or non-peer-reviewed sources.

Step 2 — AI-Assisted Drafting

AI tools (Claude by Anthropic) assist with structured summarization, draft generation, and organizing information for clarity. AI is used as a research and writing assistant — not as a final authority on scientific claims.

Step 3 — Human Editorial Review

A human editor with relevant domain knowledge reviews all AI-generated content for scientific accuracy, appropriate claim strength, and correct source attribution. No AI-generated content is published without this review step.

Step 4 — Publication & Maintenance

Published content includes source citations with DOI links. Pillar pages are reviewed quarterly. New studies are added to the research archive on an ongoing basis. Corrections are documented with a timestamp and brief description.

Citation Requirements

All cited sources must meet the following criteria:

Published in a peer-reviewed journal with a DOI or PMID
Directly relevant to the claim being made — not tangentially related
Accurately represented — we do not paraphrase study conclusions in ways that overstate findings
Study type is clearly labeled (in vitro, animal, human RCT, systematic review, etc.)
Not retracted — we monitor for retractions and update content accordingly
